Why Work with Jeanne?
Jeanne knows first hand how important the essay piece of the school application can be.
Growing up in a small town in Oklahoma, the essays she wrote helped her get accepted to the Hockaday School, a renowned private high school in Dallas and then into every college she applied to, including Princeton, Stanford, Northwestern, NYU, Yale, and Harvard. She was waitlisted at Juilliard in the Acting Program.
Jeanne chose to attend Harvard and loved her experience there. She has worked as an actor on stage and screens of all sizes. Some of her favorite roles include recurring roles on the TV shows “Wishbone,” “Parks and Recreation,” and “Mad Men.” Although she began her professional dance career as a ballet dancer, she expanded into the world of contemporary, jazz, tap, theater dance, and has worked as a dancer, dance teacher and choreographer for over 20 years. Jeanne worked for the college prep companies Princeton Review in NYC and Ivy West in Los Angeles. In the past few years, Jeanne has also written fitness blogs and worked as an in-school ambassador for the YoungArts Foundation. She coaches clients all over the world in storytelling. She also works as a director, choreographer, and teaching artist for Village Arts Theatre and is the co-founder and director of Make ‘Em Laugh Classic Comedy Camp for kids.
Jeanne’s approach with essay coaching is to help kids feel comfortable with writing — and even to make the essay process fun — so they will be inspired to discover the gifts and qualities that make them stand out in an applicant pool, and then to help kids express those unique gifts in their own authentic voice through their essay writing.
Jeanne lives with her husband Adam Felber, her two kids, and her cat and dog in Valley Village, CA.
